Remodelling Business – a recap

Our brand new ‘Remodelling Business’ event took place on the 7th June. We had such a high level of interest that we had to move the event from our usual venue of Platform so we hastily asked Duke Studios to accommodate our large sign-up numbers! It was a hugely successful event and we’ve had numerous re-sign ups for the next Remodelling Business, taking place on the 13th September. Check out the short recap video below, made by our wonderful friends at The Inhouse.

The Remodelling Format

The start of the evening consisted of our guests networking over delicious food provided by Grug&Grog 😍and redeeming their free drinks tokens. Not to mention, we had some great weather, so the exclusive outside area at Duke Studios proved the perfect place to network in the evening sun. Bliss!

Once everyone had settled, our co-founder, Dan, started up the interactive discussion that took apart the concept of ‘working 9-5’ (cue Dolly) with the problems, the goals of a new model, features it would include and therefore producing a full model of what could successfully take over the ‘9-5’ approach. The answer was….

A combination that results in more flexibility whether that be hours, office space, structures or benefits to be more employee friendly! Perfect for the modern working person trying to home in on an effective work/life balance.

Guest Speaker

Tracey Wilson, the Director of 4Agility Consultancy Ltd gave a talk on becoming a t-shaped Business Analyst, through being adaptive and collaborative with experts of other areas and therefore maximise their efficiency. So, if there isn’t much specific work to be done, they can participate in other areas to make the team overall much more efficient.

Tracey spoke about having a smaller amount of deep skills, but a varied and diverse skill-set that enables quick problem solving. A tool that would always come in handy!

A successful event with a high level of turnout of really great people, we are already excited for the next one!
